GET TO KNOW
OUR FAMILY
Rather than being a place where people far from God are met with shame, guilt, and condemnation, Jesus leads us to be a family that extends His grace,
mercy, and forgiveness to everyone.
No matter what you’ve been through or what questions you might have,
we want you to be a part of our family.

WHAT WE BELIEVE
A.W. Tozer once said...
"What comes into our minds when we think about God is the most important thing about us."
At The Sanctuary, we don't just desire to make God known in our worship, but we want Him to be exalted in every area of our lives. The Sanctuary upholds biblical authority, meaning that all of our beliefs, our fervent worship, our lifestyle, and who we are is rooted in the Bible and based on Biblical Principles. Based on Scripture we wholeheartedly embrace the following beliefs:
GOD
There is one God, who has revealed Himself as our Father, in His Son Jesus Christ, and as the Holy Spirit. Jesus Christ is God manifested in flesh. He is both God and man. (Deuteronomy 6:4; Ephesians 4:4-6; Colossians 2:9;1 Timothy 3:16)

THE BIBLE
The Bible is the infallible Word of God and the authority for salvation and Christian living. (2 Timothy 3:15-17).

THE GOSPEL
The saving gospel is the good news that Jesus died for our sins, was buried, and rose again. We obey the gospel (2 Thessalonians 1:8; 1 Peter 4:17) by repentance (death to sin), water baptism in the name of Jesus Christ (burial), and receiving the gift of the Holy Spirit (resurrection). (1 Corinthians 15:1-4; Acts 2:4, 37-39; Romans 6:3-4)

SALVATION
Everyone has sinned and needs salvation. Salvation comes by grace through faith based on the atoning sacrifice of Jesus Christ (Romans 3:23-25; 6:23; Ephesians 2:8-9)

CHRISTIAN LIVING
As Christians, we are to love God and others. We should live a holy life inwardly and outwardly, and worship God joyfully. The supernatural gifts of the Spirit, including healing, are for the church today. (Mark 12:28-31; 2 Corinthians 7:1; Hebrews 12:14; 1 Corinthians 12:8-10)

THE FUTURE
Jesus Christ is coming again to catch away His church. In the end will be the final resurrection and the final judgment. The righteous will inherit eternal life and the unrighteous eternal death. (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17; Revelation 20:11-15)
THE CITY WE SERVE
The Sanctuary is blessed to serve the people of Columbus, Indiana and surrounding areas. Columbus is very diverse and this diversity is also represented in our congregation. We are diverse racially, culturally, socioeconomically, and in the formation of our family units. Whatever your demographic, we do our best to make certain you feel welcome.
Everything we do, from our service schedule to our teaching topics, is focused on strengthening the family through biblical principles. Whether your family has many members or you are a single adult, you will be blessed by our commitment to marriage, children, and community. We are intentionally structured so that each member is supported by a caring circle of believers, yet also is able to enjoy the benefits of an extended congregation.
When you meet our staff and leadership team, it will be apparent that our congregation is focused on doing God's work with excellence. Additionally, when you join us for worship, you will be surrounded by deep, sincere, and honest love from people who are eternally grateful they have been redeemed by our Savior, Jesus Christ.
